Holkham Park Easter Trail at Holkham Hall (5 to 17 April 2025)
There’s a whole bunch of fun to be had at Holkham whether you fancy an action-packed outdoor adventure, want to unlock your creativity and learn some new skills, eggsplore the eggciting eggstravaganza – The Easter Garden, enjoy a spot of shopping, get outdoors and spot some wonderful wildlife or tuck into delicious local food.
The Easter Garden (3, 4, 5, 6 April 2026, £7 per person). Step into the Walled Garden as it bursts into bloom. Say hello to some furry friends in the cuddle corner, be amazed at “The Totally Amazing Magic Show”and keep your eyes peeled for a trail of bubbles winding it’s way through the rooms. High Ropes Course (23 -25, 28 -31 March, 1-15 April 2026, £24 per person). Perfect for the thrill seeker or outdoor explorer. Head for the treetops and cross wobbly bridges and balance beams up before taking a leap of faith on two thrilling zipwires. Find out more here.

The Spring Market (3 to 5 April 2026). Free event – £8 all day parking charge in Holkham Park. Tuck into delicious food, browse locally made gifts and sip on a tipple or two. Find out more.

Tulips at Houghton
Tulips at Houghton is a vibrant new spring event taking place from 11 April 2026 (until early May). Planned in collaboration with leading bulb specialists Peter Nyssen, who supplied the tulip bulbs, the planting will transform the award-winning five-acre Walled Garden into a spectacular celebration of spring colour. Set against the sights and sounds of the season, visitors will wander through avenues of blossom and enjoy a rich display of early-flowering plants and bulbs. The tulip displays have been carefully designed to complement each distinct area of the Walled Garden, evolving subtly over the weeks. Visitors can expect species tulips naturalised beneath old fruit trees, bold drifts of later-flowering varieties in borders and walkways, and numerous potted displays throughout the garden. Easter Egg-stravaganza at Pensthorpe
Pensthorpe Natural Park (28 March to 6 April 2026). Explore the vibrant Easter Garden, bursting with colourful decorations, nature-themed surprises. With the help of Penny the Pesnthorpe Bunny, you’ll help find her lost eggs in an immersive five-sectioned Easter garden! Every paying child who takes part will receive a free chocolate treat, members can take part but an additional fee will apply for the chocolate treat. Families can also be among the first to experience the brand-new outdoor play ‘The Living Towers’ ! Plus there's heaps and heaps of chicks and goslings across the reserve. Find out more here.

Dippy's Egg-cellent Easter at ROARR!
Hop over to ROARR! for a dinosaur themed adventure (28 March – 13 April 2026)! Enjoy a fun-filled, action-packed Easter adventure with the return of the ROARR-some Dippy’s Chocolate Factory Amazing-Maze, Golden Ticket Trail, and Easter Egg Hunt! Find your way around Dippy’s Chocolate Factory Amazing-Maze, an immersive, interactive chocolate-themed maze. Follow the twists and turns, uncover hidden surprises, and enjoy a sweet treat at the end! Take the Golden Ticket Trail and see if you can find the five golden tickets hidden across the park each day. Find them all and unlock a special Easter surprise! Easter Egg Hunt at National Trust Blickling Estate
Head into the daffodil-filled gardens on a family Easter tea party adventure from 21 March to 13 April 2026. Complete the games and challenges around the garden to help the animals get ready for their special day. The cheeky robins have hidden teacups throughout the orchard, can you find them all? Before he can attend the party, Mr Duck needs to gather all his ducklings. Can you hook out the ducks to help him? Race to the animal tea party! Spin the wheel to see which creature you are, then zoom around the course by moving just like your animal. The Easter trail takes place daily 10am to 4pm from Saturday 21 March until Sunday 29 March and 10am to 5pm from Monday 30 March until Monday 13 April, with last trails starting one hour before closing. Easter Trail at National Trust Felbrigg Hall
Bring the whole family together this Easter and treat your loved ones to a spring adventure from 28 March to 12 April 2026. At Felbrigg, explore the estate and woodland on a trail with 10 nature-themed activity stations, including seed planting, den building and lawn games. Admission is £3.50 per Easter trail pack (Includes a trail sheet, bunny ears and a chocolate egg. Car parking is free for National Trust members and £5 for non-members. Find out more here.

National Trust Sheringham Park Easter Egg Hunt
Make your way along the trail at Sheringham Park and find activities for the whole family. The trail takes place between 28 March and 12 April 2026, from 10.00am to 3pm, so go along and explore the beautiful parkland at Sheringham Park. Prices are £3.50 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and chocolate egg. Eggs can be collected up until 4pm. The trail leads you through the enchanting woodland and wild garden, with several of the activities featuring hand-crafted wood from here in the park. Have a go at throwing hoops over Easter bunnies carved from tree stumps, pose for a picture with a pair of giant butterfly wings, and put your nostrils to the test to see if you can guess all the smells at the sensory station. Get energetic with wheelbarrow racing, squeeze your way under the limbo pole, and put your throwing skills to the test by knocking over tin cans – play for fun or get competitive with your companions!
The Easter trail finishes at the Ling hut, although you may decide to extend the adventure by continuing a little further along the path to be rewarded with some eggs-tra-ordinary views of the coast. The Easter trail is all in dog-friendly areas of the park. Find out more here.

Spring Trail ~ Secret Signals! at The Museum of the Broads
Join the family-friendly trail between 28 March - 12 April 2026 and explore the museum to discover 12 hidden messages. Have a go at mirror writing and morse code and discover how the birds, the trees and the bees talk to each other. Decipher the message told in nautical flags and claim a prize. Find out more.

Delve into North Norfolk's Deep History Coast at Sheringham Museum
A new Deep History Gallery is opening at Sheringham Museum on Saturday 21 March 2026. Visitors will be able to see a new permanent gallery dedicated North Norfolk's Deep History Coast. North Norfolk holds some of the earliest evidence of human activity in Britain, placing the region at the very beginning of the national story. The new Deep History gallery brings this lost world to life through early stone tools, and evidence of the animals that once roamed nearby. Discover how the climate and rising seas shaped the land, and how survival and adaptation defined the lives of its earliest inhabitants. Easter Treasure Quest and Egg Hunt at Hoveton Hall Gardens
Enjoy an Easter Treasure Quest around the gardens from 3 to 6 April 2026. Follow the clues and answer the puzzle at the end to receive an Easter prize. There will also be a mini Easter Egg Hunt in the walled gardens for the under 5s. All free with normal garden entrance fees. There is no need to book, just turn up. Find out more.

Aldiss Easter Monday Raceday at Fakenham Racecourse
Take the whole family to the wonderful Easter Monday Raceday on 6 April 2026. The day starts off with Shetland racing, followed by 6 or 7 thoroughbred jump races. As well as the racing there will be entertainment including rides for the youngsters, free chocolate, stalls and plenty of food options available. Gates open 10.30am, Shetland Pony Racing 1pm followed by NH racing first race at 2.15pm and last race starts 5.45pm. North Norfolk Railway
At North Norfolk Railway, hop aboard the Easter Eggspress (28 March to 12 April 2026). Five local schools helped create the North Norfolk Railway 2026 Easter Trail, which runs across the length of the heritage line from Sheringham to Holt throughout the Easter holidays, by designing eggs, complete with special letters for explorers to spot. Every young visitor to the railway can enjoy the free hunt helping the line’s mascot “Morgan” to find all of the hidden eggs, with all successful explorers receiving their own chocolate egg to take home! From historic buildings to model railways, there’s lots to see at each station including a children’s play coach at Holt and the chance to get hands on with signalling at Reedham Signal box on Easter weekend (April 3 – 6 2026)! Bure Valley Railway
On Bure Valley Railway, take a ride on the Easter Eggspress (28 March to 28 April 2026) for an exciting day out for all the family. There is a free Easter egg for every child on completion of the Easter Trail. Stop off at the decorated shop and Whistlestop Café for the Easter themed event. Find out more and book tickets.
Easter Events
Easter Egg Hunt at North Walsham War Memorial Park
Go on an Easter egg hunt at North Walsham War Memorial Park (NR28 9AY) on 4 April 2026. Collect stamps around the park and complete a puzzle sheet along the way. Each ticket entitles a child to take home an Easter goodie bag filled with treats. Running from 9.30am until midday. Tickets are free but must be booked. Find out more and book here.

Sheringham Viking Festival
One of the highlights of Easter will be the Sheringham Viking Festival on 11 April 2026. The festival celebrates the ancient Viking culture and its traditions and is a one-day event that takes place at two locations, on Sheringham's seafront for the boat burning and on Beeston Common just east of the town near Beeston Bump where the Viking village and re-enactments take place. The festival is attended by thousands of people every year, and it's one of the most popular events in the area. Find out more here.

Markets, Fairs and Festivals
The Norfolk Artisan Spring Fair, with over 100 local food, drink and craft stands, takes place at Fakenham Racecourse on 18 and 19 April 2026 between 9.30am to 4pm. Head to the beautiful setting of Creake Abbey in Fakenham and browse around the farmers' market on 4 April 2026 between 9.30am and 1pm and there is also the Spring Gift Fair on 11 April 2026 between 10am to 4pm where you can shop a range of locally made goods. Head over to the Lady Elizabeth Wing at Holkham for its Easter Market (on 3, 4 and 5 April 2026 from 10am to 4pm) showcasing the very best produce, gifts and crafts from over 50 local artisan producers and outside, you can expect a tasty choice of local street food vendors.

More Amazing Attractions
There is a whole range of attractions in north Norfolk open over Easter for fantastic family days out. Trot over to Redwings Horse Sanctuary in Aylsham where you can visit some of the horses, ponies, mules and donkeys that have been rescued and are being cared for. Visit Wroxham Miniature Worlds with model railways, a Lego city and interactive flight and train simulators and try your luck in the Old Penny Arcade. Immerse yourself at the largest privately owned military museum in the United Kingdom at the Muckleburgh Military Collection where you can see over 150 artillery pieces, tanks and other vehicles, most of which are in working order. Visitors can enjoy rides in a military vehicle or take a tank driving session in a FV432.

Learn some interesting facts about wildlife conservation and see the exotic creatures of Asia and South America at Amazona Zoo. Have an underwater adventure at Sealife Hunstanton. For a water adventure, head to the beautiful Norfolk Broads, Britain’s magical waterways by hiring a boat, canoe or SUP, and find out about the area's history at the Museum of the Broads. You can also visit the world’s largest collection of steam engines and organs at Thursford Steam Museum. If art is your interest, watch expert local craftsmen revive traditional skills at Langham Glass and Alby Crafts and Gardens. At Langham Glass, you can experience a fascinating live glassmaking demonstration with informative commentary from the expert glassmaking team. Marvellous Museums
North Norfolk has many museums and historical sites, open to visitors, illustrating the area's fascinating and unique history and heritage.
At RAF Air Defence Radar Museum Neatishead, explore the country's only original Cold War Operations Room, which formed a critical link in the RAF's Command and Control system in the years following WW2. Visit Langham Dome, built in 1942 – 43 on the edge of RAF Langham, this intriguing building utilised innovative technology to train anti-aircraft gunners. This lovingly restored military museum was one of the first examples of virtual technology. Head to the Museum of the Broads where you can discover the stories of the Broads and take a boat trip.
