About
The Hoste is a coastal retreat located in Burnham Market, less than 20 minutes away from North Norfolk’s award-winning coastline. Making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. With our enviable location, guests can explore our pretty village or hire one of our bicycles complete with a map, routes and areas of interest and spend the day at the beach with one of our delicious picnic hampers.
Combining contemporary luxury with a rich history, our boutique hotel boasts 37 stylish bedrooms - from a divine room with garden views to a classic room with its own private patio terrace.
We have accommodation for all stays and occasions including:
The Railway House - A 10-minute stroll from the hotel, travel back in time to the 50’s with this unique accommodation sleeping up to 16 guests in seven bedrooms. A popular choice for family and friend celebrations.
Located next to the house is The Railway Carriage – an original railway carriage which has been turned into a quirky, luxury bedroom – complete with railway memorabilia
Across the village green is Vine House, our beautiful, luxurious Georgian townhouse with eight, pet-free bedrooms.
We have a range of modern British cuisine served in our 400-year old pub, our 17th century dining room and The Garden Room with plenty of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. Dishes use locally sourced ingredients, where possible, including Brancaster Oysters and Cromer Crab and we have a daily fresh fruit delivery from a local, family-run business.
Sit back, relax and enjoy a cocktail in our sunny walled garden or warm yourself up with a delicious hot chocolate in front of our roaring log fire. The Hoste also has its own private, 20-seat cinema and beauty spa which offers a variety of tantalising treatments including a signature Hoste back massage. And our private spa courtyard boasts a hot tub and comfortable sun loungers.
We also have a fascinating history and our customers love staying in our historic rooms.
As the first stop from Wells on the way to London, it was a well-known coaching-inn. And Lord Admiral Nelson, born in nearby Burnham Thorpe often visited and received his dispatch papers here.
We are also a very dog-friendly hotel and guest’s four-legged friends are warmly welcomed in the pub, lounge and garden and most of our bedrooms. Our guests enjoy taking their dogs to nearby Holkham or Wells beaches to stretch their legs.
