28th August Mat Making with Cromer Craft Club

About

In this 2.5 hour craft session participants will be introduced to the art of mat making! This is a great opportunity to work with textiles, have fun with like-minded participants and tune into your own creativity! Participants will follow a guided, step-by-step process and will be shown techniques for creating mats and rugs from recycled textiles and off cut fabrics. A great way of using up all your material scraps!
Participants will be shown examples and given clear step-by-step demonstrations of techniques. They will then create their own mats in the session. No specialist tools or sewing are required and if participants do not finish during the session they can take materials home to complete their project at home!
All materials and full guidance will be provided. All abilities welcome. Please bring a bag to use to take home your creations.
Please bring your mobile phone to video some of the steps in case you need to refer back to finishing off steps after the session.
Cromer Craft Club is now funded by Nextenergy East England Solar Impact Fund. This means the session is offered free to participants on low incomes below 26k per annum or is offered on a pay what you wish basis to other participants.
