Pop over to Pensthorpe Natural Park (25 October to 31 October 2025) and visit a land of magic and mystery at Pensthorpe's Pumpkin Festival. THE HALLOWEEN GARDEN AT HOLKHAM. Head to Holkham this Halloween for spooks, thrills, delights and chills in the Walled Garden. Creep through the garden gates where you'll discover oodles of spookiness (and a few sweet treats!) to surprise you. Listen to spooktacular tales, get creative with creepy crafts, make your own magic potion with our not-so-wicked witches and enjoy pumpkin carving and create the strangest face you can! DIPPY'S HALLOWEEN DAYS AT ROARR! DINOSAUR ADVENTURE. Get ready for a spooky adventure at Dippy’s Halloween Days, running from 25 October to 2 November 2025! This half-term, dive into a world of eerie excitement at the Weston-Smythe School of Dinosaurs and the Undead! PRIMEVIL SCARE AT ROARR! PrimEvil is back for its 16th terrifying year — and you’re invited to experience Norfolk’s multi-award-winning scare experience like never before. HALLOWEEN TRAIL - A WHERRY GHOSTLY TRAIL AT THE MUSEUM OF THE BROADS. It’s October! It’s spooky time! Explore the museum and follow the mysterious lights to find out about the ghostly Wherry “Mayfly”. Along the way, complete the spooky tasks to reveal Mayfly’s long-lost secrets. BURE VALLEY RAILWAY. Get on track for half term fun with Bure Valley Railway. This October half term (25 October to 2 November 2025), children go free on Bure Valley Railway with a full return fare paying adult. Start from either Aylsham Station located in the historic market town, or Wroxham Station the home of the Norfolk Broads. Children can also take part in a Halloween themed activity for their journey. SPOOKY I-SPY ON WELLS & WALSINGHAM LIGHT RAILWAY. Hop aboard the world's smallest public railway this October half term. The train steams between Wells-next-the-Sea and Walsingham. Enjoy the half-hour trip through beautiful countryside, over and under bridges, passing a hill-fort and chugging through a real ghost platform! Find out more.
NORTH NORFOLK RAILWAY. The Poppy Line is welcoming two visiting mainline locomotives for its fiftieth finale from 25 October to 2 November 2025. Celebrity mainline express steam locomotive 70000 “Britannia” is set to work trains on each of the nine days offering passengers the chance to ride behind the engine that once regularly hauled “The Norfolkman” and “The East Anglian” named trains between London and Norwich. Also, on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 November, visitors can see the D9000 “Royal Scots Grey”, one of the few surviving “Deltics” – a powerful type of diesel locomotive built to speed up services from London to Edinburgh in the 1960s. D9000 dates from 1961 and at the time was the World’s most powerful diesel locomotive. Find out more here.
A HALLOWEEN HALF TERM AT THE BUG PARC. Get hands on with creepy crawlies at The Bug Parc during half term. There are many bugs to admire, and even handle with handling tickets! Marvel at hundreds of amazing minibeasts, complete the trails and play in the parks. Find out more.
STRANGER FOLK, VOLUME 1: CROME CALLING AT NATIONAL TRUST BLICKLING ESTATE. Stranger Folk is a fun game of ancient folklore and real-world adventure for families to play together. Download the Stranger Folk app and begin an immersive adventure inspired by British folklore. The adventure starts with a voice note from a mysterious Old Crone. Will you answer the call and close the rift before mischief turns to mayhem!? As the spirit and human worlds collide, sneaky goblins, cunning boggarts and Stranger Folk are slipping through the crack to stir up trouble at Blickling! Gather your team, harness the elements and seal the rift before the creatures take hold.
Forget pumpkins and plastic fangs, this Halloween adventure crackles with old magic. Play for a fast-paced 20 minutes or make it a day-long adventure to pause for scones and pick up where you left off.
All you will need is one mobile phone to immerse yourselves in a rich story of physical play and strange goings-on. The app is designed for children aged 7+ and can be downloaded for free from the Apple and Google app stores. We'd recommend that you download it ahead of your visit, or find our welcome team on arrival who will be able to point you to where the spirits are strongest (where the wifi is best) to download the app. But you will need to solve the puzzle to gain the secret password before your adventure can begin. NATIONAL TRUST SHERINGHAM PARK.
Escape into autumn at Sheringham Park and stimulate your senses with everything the season has to offer. Crunch through mounds of leaves, spot wildlife squirreling away food for winter and slurp delicious spiced drinks from the Courtyard Café.

NATIONAL TRUST HORSEY WINDPUMP. Horsey is a hot spot for all kinds of wildlife, so why not pick up a spotter sheet and see what you can discover? CREEPY CRUISES ABOARD THE VINTAGE HAUNTSMAN WITH BROADS TOURS. Broads Tours has a special treat (or trick) for river trip passengers this October half term. The Vintage Broadsman will be transformed into the Vintage Hauntsman, a ghostly river trip boat for Halloween-themed river trips. Featuring spooky commentary with the ghostly tales of the Broads by our River Trip skippers and trick-or-treat activity packs for children. These 1.5 hour trips run at 11am and 2pm during half term. BIG ADVENTURES AT WROXHAM MINIATURE WORLDS. Visit the UK’s largest indoor modelling attraction, Wroxham Miniature Worlds, stretching over 10,000 square feet and see some of the largest model railways in the world! Admire the different ‘worlds’ of model railways, slot car displays, a whole city made from Lego bricks, model boat displays and a host of toys from across the decades.
