This is the perfect summer comedy, set in the village cricket pavilion where captain of the team, Roger and his wife, Miriam, are preparing for the day's match against the local railway maintenance team. But Roger is having problems getting a full side together as it soon becomes clear that each player has complications of their own to overcome. Bob is still doing odd jobs for his ex wife behind his new wife, Ginnie's back. Dennis' wife seems intent on moving house despite the fact that they have only recently moved house. Kevin tries to fight off his over affectionate wife, Maggie, while nursing his injured spin bowling finger while Alex's nervous new girlfriend locks herself in the loo. Will the team finally make it to the pitch and the gentle sound of leather on willow be heard?
