Violet Cottage Kelling

About

Violet Cottage forms part of The Old Dairy, Kelling, and is built in the traditional Norfolk brick and flint manner, with red pan-tiled roof.

Whilst retaining some of its original features here and there, Violet Cottage has been carefully updated and equipped to provide a comfortable holiday rental for up to four guests, just 5 minutes’ drive north of the charming Norfolk market town of Holt and a few minutes’ drive from the North Norfolk coast at Salthouse and Weybourne.  Sheringham, Cromer, Wells-next-the-Sea and Blakeney are also all within easy reach from the peaceful setting of Violet Cottage Kelling.  We welcome children aged 7+ and one larger or up to two smaller furry friends.

Downstairs, there is a light and airy main sitting room with bi-fold doors overlooking the small, pretty English cottage garden, and opening through to the kitchen-diner.

A second additional sitting room – The Snug – offers a large comfortable ‘lounging’ sofa with Smart TV, Freesat and DVD player.  This additional space is a feature much welcomed by families with teenage children and a little unusual in a cottage of this size.  There is also a downstairs WC and shower room.

Upstairs, there are two comfortable bedrooms (one double, one twin), and a separate main bathroom with bath and shower over.  For restful evenings in or the odd rainy day, Violet Cottage is equipped with Freesat TV, DVD player, books, board games and WiFi.

Outside, there is a small south-facing, dog-secure cottage garden with patio chairs, tables and parasol and an allocated off-road parking space directly by the cottage gate.  We also offer complimentary secure (and dry) cycle storage for up to four bicycles.
