Broad Tours Pirate Themed River Trip, Wroxham, 19 to 23 February 2024.

For a swashbuckling adventure this half-term, Broads Tours is running pirate themed river trips. Pirates have commandeered the Cordon Rouge on the Norfolk Broads to seek lost treasure! They need a crew (you!) to help them find it. With pirate-themed decoration, activity packs and commentary from Flint, the pirate ship captain, it’s sure to be a fun experience. Trips last for 1.5 hours and run twice daily during half-term (11am and 2pm). Teddy Bear Express, Bure Valley Railway, 17 to 25 February 2024. 

All aboard the Teddy Bear Express on Bure Valley Railway this February half-term! And children go free this week! (Free travel for every child with a full fare-paying adult, max 2 children (0-15 years) per adult). Children can also take part in a themed activity for their journey and teddy bear lunch boxes will be available to purchase (not included in ticket price). Trains from either Aylsham (NR11 6BW) or Wroxham (NR12 8UU). Wells & Walsingham Light Railway, 17 - 25 February 2024.

Hop aboard the world's smallest public railway and take a half hour journey through the north Norfolk countryside between the seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea and the beautiful Abbey village of Walsingham. Your unforgettable trip back in time clanks over and under bridges, chuffs past a hill-fort and through a real ghost platform. Children 4 and under go free. Wellies and Wonder at Holkham Hall, 18 to 24 February. 

There is a whole host of exciting free activities for the whole family to enjoy this half term at Holkham Park, come rain or shine. Go on a welly hunt, create a bird feeder to take home and enjoy the woodland play area. Find out more.

Wroxham Barns Lambing Live, 11 - 19 February. 

See expectant ewes in Wroxham Barns' maternity barn plus their newborn lambs. The ewes are expecting any time from 15 February so there is a chance you will see a live birth. The farm team will be on hand to talk you through all things lambing. As well as this, your day out includes all the fun of Junior Farm, where you will meet the friendly animals, feed hungry calfs, get creative in the mud kitchen in the Discovery Zone and let off some steam in the indoor soft play area. Plus, you can enjoy all the rides, jumping pillows and mini golf in the Fun Park. Tickets are £14 per person for anyone 2yrs and above. Find out more and book tickets.

Walsingham Abbey Snowdrops up to 5 March (10am to 4pm).

Take a look at this magical, natural wonder at Walsingham! The carpets of snowdrops, mingled with aconites, have naturalised throughout the 18 acres of grounds and woodland, and along the banks of the River Stiffkey, running through the Abbey Grounds. The snowdrops usually begin to come up by early January, begin to open by the end of January, are in full bloom in mid-February, and stay in bloom until early March when the flowers fade. Fanatasy February at ROARR!, 17 to 25 February 2024.

Get crafty this half term at ROARR! As well as the usual park rides and experiences, you can make a crown, colour in a dragon glider, make paper flowers, design a scratch art T-shirt magnet and much more! Find out more

Pensthorpe's Poo Trail, 17 to 25 February 2024.

Have you ever wondered why rabbits choose to eat their own droppings instead of a juicy carrot or how many times a goose poops a day?! BeWILDerwood, 17 to 25 February 2024. For a huge, award-winning forest of family fun and outdoor adventure, head to BeWILDERwood where it's buy one ticket and get one free for half term! Cromer ArtSpace has been working in conjunction with Cromer Museum to launch a brand new outdoor exhibition lining the streets of Cromer. Called Heritage Space: Historic Pictures Around Cromer, it features everything from fishermen and kings to bathing belles and postcards. The exhibition will comprise of 12 interpretation boards placed around town, featuring images from the museum`s collection of over 31,000 photos, postcards and watercolours. Cromer Museum will open especially for the event. All admission to the museum on 3 February is FREE. There will also be a further three FREE days at the museum during February half term. Then on 22 and 23 February, the museum will be open 10am to 4pm, and on 24 February, the museum will be open 12pm to 4pm. Theatres and Shows:

There is a wide range of live events on at Cromer Pier, including The Ariane Grande Experience, Gareth Gates in Frankie Valli, The Bon Jovi Experience and The Simon and Garfunkel Story. Find out more here.

Amazing Attractions.

Don't forget there's plenty of attractions offering a fun-filled day out for the whole family. With indoor and outdoor facilities, you can enjoy the day, whatever the weather. Enjoy heritage rail journeys on North Norfolk Railway, see impressive mini model railway layouts at Wroxham Miniature Worlds and then try your luck in the OId Penny Arcade. See South American animals at Amazona Zoo in Cromer and visit an underwater world at Sealife Hunsanton. National Trust properties are also open over half term at Sheringham ParkBlickling and Felbrigg

Find out about the RNLI`s most heroic volunteer, at the Henry Blogg Museum, which reopens Tuesday to Sunday from the start of February. The Muckleburgh Military Collection, also reopens on 17 February is home to a large collection of tanks, armoured cars, artillery and machine guns.
