No.1 Brig Square is tucked away in a private courtyard in the much-loved seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea. This beautiful fisherman’s cottage dates to the 17th century and is full of charisma. Stylishly renovated, this lovely cottage provides comfortable accommodation for 2-4 guests over three floors. With its own private parking, it is perfectly situated to enjoy a fabulous holiday in this popular seaside town, with its multi-coloured beach huts and wide sandy beach.

With comfortable furnishings, this attractive hideaway is the ideal place to relax after a long walk on the beach in the cooler months and a fantastic family base to enjoy the endless warm days of summer. The open plan living space leads in from the main entrance and is ideal for sharing time with loved ones. On the first floor is a gorgeous king-sized bedroom and a comfy twin bedroom with sloping ceilings can be found on the second floor.

The hub of the town, with its delightful shops, galleries, cinema, and cultural centre, is just a few minutes’ walk from the door. You can wander along the quay and dine on fish and chips whilst watching the fishing boats pass by or pull on your walking boots and explore the Coastal Path and nearby villages. With stunning beaches, fantastic walks, and wonderful dining all within easy reach, this delightful fisherman’s cottage is an ideal haven at any time of year. With the Coasthopper bus stop not far from the front door, you can explore the coast without using the car too.

For a small group of friends or family wanting to be close to each other but not in the same property, No.2 Brig Square is next door and is also available to book on the website.

If you enjoy spending time on the beach, Wells Beach Hut is also available to book during your stay.

Ground Floor

Entrance hall with hooks for coats.

Bathroom leading off from the entrance hall with bath and shower over, basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Living/Kitchen/Dining Room leading off from the entrance hall, this is an open spaced room with wooden flooring. Relaxing corner sofa, flat screen TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime etc., pine dining table and chairs.

Kitchen area has modern fitted kitchen, electric oven cooker with ceramic hob, microwave, undercounter fridge with small freezer and cafetiere. Well stocked with kitchen equipment. 

First floor

Bedroom 1 has a King-sized bed, bedside tables, hanging space and vanity unit.

Second floor

Bedroom 2 is a Twin-bedded room. Bedside table and cupboard with shelves.

Garden

In front of the cottage is a small patio fully enclosed by fencing. Garden furniture. Charcoal BBQ.  

Parking

Private parking space directly in front of the cottage for one average sized car. Electric vehicle charging point.

Heating

Gas central heating.

IMPORTANT
This cottage has a steep Norfolk winder staircase and therefore is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

The parking space is not suitable for large cars.
