About
Natural Surroundings is a small business based in North Norfolk on the scenic Bayfield Estate and close to the town of Holt and just a stone’s throw from Blakeney and Cley-next-the-Sea. Covering 8 acres (around 4 hectares) we offer extensive gardens demonstrating all aspects of wildlife-friendly gardening as well as showcasing a wide variety of plants, both native and near-natives. We also have wildflower-filled wet meadows fronting onto the River Glaven and a small area of wet woodland. The plant nursery sells a wide variety of hardy plants, with native wild flowers, cottage garden plants and an eclectic selection of interesting perennials. The cafe serves drinks, home-made cakes and light lunches, and the shop has a selection of seeds and bulbs (in season), books, bird feeders and wildlife-themed cards and gifts. Natural Surroundings is owned and managed by Anne and Simon Harrap, and either Anne or Simon (or both) are usually on site, and are always happy to offer help and advice.Limited access for wheelchairs.
