GoGo Discover Trail in Norfolk

It’s all GoGo in Norfolk! Dinosaurs are arriving in Norwich and Steppe mammoths are making a reappearance in north Norfolk! Find out more about the GoGo Discover trail for 2021-2022 in Norwich and North Norfolk’s Deep History Coast.

The ten-week T-Rex trail in Norwich runs from 12 July to 11 September 2021 raising funds for East Anglian based children’s charity Break, who provides lifelong support to children and young people in care, on the edge of care or leaving care.

Twenty sculptures, measuring around 2 metres tall, will stomp into popular locations including Norwich Cathedral, Chantry Place, Riverside, Castle Quarter and Jarrold. The sculptures are all sponsored by businesses from across the region and have been decorated by talented artists to create unique designs; some with additional embellishments and props added to really bring the sculpture themes to life.

The trail coincides with the Dippy on Tour Exhibition taking place between 13 July to 30 October 2021. Dippy, the Natural History Museum’s iconic Diplodocus cast, will be on display at Norwich Cathedral.

The 20 T.rex sculptures will reappear in 2022, and bring some new friends, for the second stage of the GoGoDiscover trail which will expand beyond the city and across the county of Norfolk including the Deep History Coast. There will also be a learning programme for schools and community groups. 

GoGoDiscover 2022 will then take place between 27 June and 10 September 2022 with the trail celebrating the Deep History Coast and Norfolk being home to the discovery of the largest and oldest mammoth ever found in Britain.
