Chamber choir, Serenata Female Voices brings you a concert of songs celebrating the heavens.

About

Serenata is delighted to be invited to perform a multilingual programme of Celestial Songs by composers and lyricists across the ages and from around the globe, at Binham Priory, Norfolk on 25th April 2026.

Conducted by Andrew Foxley, Serenata is a vibrant chamber choir of women, drawn from across the East of England, who love to sing music for female voices, arranged in rich harmony.
This concert follows closely on from performances of our springtime repertoire in Spain at Barcelona's Sagrada Familia and Girona Cathedral.

Our celestial themes encompass sacred and secular pieces, ranging from Forbes' warm arrangement of Ave Maria and John Taverner's exquisitely intimate and spine-tingling setting of William Blake's The Lamb, to eclectic musical evocations of sun, moon, stars and light, including the poignant poetry of Sarah Teasdale and the dynamic and dramatic Lady of the Evening Star from Singapore-based composer and conductor Darius Lim.

Do join us for this scintillating celebration of all things celestial!
