The Little Stables – a dog-friendly self-catering holiday cottage in Norfolk.

Set in a delightful, small, quiet hamlet, close to the prestigious village of Aldborough.  Perfect for a getaway for two in beautiful Norfolk with or without your four-legged friend.Time to re-charge and enjoy the many delights Norfolk has to offer.  Enjoy the wildlife, walks, fascinating history and stunning beaches either by car, on foot or bike

Located just 5 miles from the North Norfolk coast but within reach to explore the Broads, Norwich and our wide-open countryside.The little stables is furnished to a high standard with your comfort in mind.  Agricultural chic with a touch of luxury awaits you.  Sumptuous bedding, luxurious toiletries, dressing gowns and your own slippers make this a home away from home. Surrounded by fields and once the stables for the main property it now houses one bedroom, lounge area, kitchen / dining room and a shower room.  You have your own private enclosed garden to enjoy your morning coffee, alfresco meal or just a relaxing glass of wine.

We will provide you with a welcome hamper upon your arrival, containing essentials and the odd treat, just to make those first few hours even more pleasurable and not forgetting your dog either with a little something for them as well.

The Accommodation

Sitting/Dining Room:  with very a comfortable corner sofa, side tables, lamps and a directional reading light, SKY TV, Wi-Fi, usb charging station.  Shelves with Novels, DVDs, retro games, OS maps and plenty of information on where to visit during your stay.

The dining area has a quirky bistro feel featuring an antique sewing table and modern chairs. 

Kitchen: with electric built-in oven, electric induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, pod coffee machine, kettle, toaster.

Bathroom:  with shower, washbasin, WC.  Cotton wool, buds and toiletries.

Bedroom:  with double size bed, side tables, wardrobe, drawers and armchair.  Hairdryer, dressing gowns and slippers are also provided for your comfort.  The bedroom can also accommodate a travel cot.

​Pets: up to 2 well-behaved dogs welcome, please be see our website regarding pets.

​Heating: Electric convection heating

​Garden: To the front of the property, fully enclosed with a lockable gate so your four legged friends are kept secure.  Laid to gravel with 3 raised beds and pots of plants.  There are table and chairs, bench, umbrella, BBQ (Charcoal, lighters and utensils are also provided)

Parking: for 1 car nearest to The Little Stables gate.

Infant friendly

Need to get away for a change of scene?  Look no further.  We welcome infants, pre-crawlers or bum shufflers!  (Up to 6 months old) Your Baby’s needs are catered for too with a high chair, baby bath, bottle steriliser, plastic cutlery, plastic crockery and sippy cups.

Norfolk is an idyllic place for small children with so many wonderful things to do and places to explore. Experiencing their first splashing in the sea, toddling through sand dunes, searching for shells, exploring the woods, making the earliest of memories.

Dog Friendly

The garden at The Little Stables is fully enclosed by fencing.  Beyond the house your dog is in for a treat as there are a fabulous array of sights and smells around The Little Stables, and you can be on the Weaver’s Way in minutes exploring further afield. There are many suggested walks provided in the welcome folder.

​Norfolk is known for its wide-open spaces and what better place to bring your fury friend.  Should you wish to get out and about in your car my favourite places to walk dogs include Blickling Woods and the Blickling Hall Estate, Felbrigg Hall, Sheringham Park, Holt Country Park and the wonderful beaches of North Norfolk and the Coastal Path. Whether your dog likes to charge across vast expanses of sand, snuffle among dense woodland or potter along country lanes full of the smells of Norfolk wildlife, they are sure to return home tired and happy.
