Limes Farm Cottage

About

Limes Farm Cottage was originally a farmworker's cottage and part of a working farm, in what is now The Broads National Park. The cottage has a rich history, dating back to 18th century and has been thoughtfully converted and adapted to the highest ecological standards. The cottage now offers idyllic, characterful self-catering accommodation and has been awarded a Green Tourism Gold Award.

Our cottage sleeps 2-4 over three bedrooms and comfortably accommodates families or a group of friends in secluded, tranquil and relaxing setting in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. This property would also be suitable for a party with an elderly or less mobile member, as the majority of the accommodation is on the ground floor, including one of the bedrooms and a spacious walk-in wetroom - feel free to contact us for more information.

Limes Farm is situated in a peaceful hideaway location; surrounded by fields and pleasant footpaths, yet close to village amenities, watersports (including sailing, kayaking and paddleboarding) and all the many attractions of the area, including fabulous beaches.  A haven for nature lovers, particularly bird watchers and for those who enjoy visiting famous properties and gardens. Also an ideal location for those seeking a more active holiday, as there are plenty of hire facilities and tuition available locally for various water sports, as well as cycle hire and a wealth of easily accessible walks.

A well behaved dog can be accommodated in Limes Farm Cottage by prior arrangement.

Ludham has 2 pubs offering good food, a cafe, village shop and butchers - all within walking distance. Just around the corner is How Hill, with a museum, nature trails and gardens, and St Benet's Abbey is just a walk or cycle ride away. Family attractions close to the cottage include Bewilderwood, Thrigby Hall Wildlife Park, Bure Valley Railway and Wroxham Barns. There are several National Trust properties and other renowned gardens nearby. Boat and cycle hire are available locally.

With the Broads National Nature Reserve literally on the doorstep, and beaches just 15 minutes away, Limes Farm is the perfect base for your Norfolk holiday.
