About
Chestnut Barn is a converted barn with spacious self-catering accommodation for families or groups of friends situated in North Norfolk. There is a private hot tub in the garden.
Inside Chestnut Barn there is a spacious open plan living room with fully equipped kitchen, seating area with three large sofas and a SMART television and DVD player, and a large extendable dining table.
There are four large bedrooms – two ensuite double bedrooms downstairs with king size beds, an ensuite king size bedroom upstairs and a fourth bedroom with four single beds. There is also a cosy seating area in the fourth bedroom with bean bags and a television. Two fold out single beds and two cots can be provided in addition.
Outside there is a large enclosed garden and a gravel parking area for several cars. There is a patio with garden furniture, sand pit, table tennis in the garage, and many outdoor games. A second patio is located in a secluded position and has a hot tub and outdoor seating (nb. there is an additional charge for the use of the hot tub, see prices).
Chestnut Barn is situated within five miles of the coast and is close to three National Trust properties - Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall and Sheringham Park. BeWilderwood and the Dinosaur Park are within 15 miles, as are the Norfolk Broads, and Norwich is 18 miles away.
The centre of Aldborough village is within walking distance from the barn. There is a shop with Post Office, children’s play area, village green and The Black Boys public house. Cricket is often played on the green during the summer months. We can provide recommendations for the many pubs/restaurants in the area.

Pets are welcome (by arrangement). The garden and parking area are fully enclosed, so it is very suitable for dogs and children. Dogs are charged at £30 per dog per stay.
HOT TUB charged as an additional fee of £125 for 2/3 nights, £145 for 4/5/6 nights and £165 for 7 nights. If the hot tub is not booked for use during the stay it will be locked and unable to be used.
Two further single fold out beds are available at £60 each to cover the extra linen.

Road Directions
Chestnut Barn is situated on School Road, Thurgarton, next to the village of Aldborough. The property is easily accessed via road and is close to the A140 which provides access to many local attractions and beaches incuding Sheringham, Cromer and Overstrand.
Chestnut Barn is approximately 15 minutes' drive to many beaches and three National Trust locations (Blickling Hall at Aylsham, Sheringham Park and Felbrigg Hall).
Further afield there is the Norfolk Broads (approximately 20 minute drive), Blakeney, Cley, Holkham and Wells-on-Sea.
There is lots to do in the local area and Chestnut Barn is well located to provide you with easy access.
Public Transport Directions
Transport by car is the most easiest and convenient. However there is a bus service to the village.
The nearest train stations are at Cromer, Roughton Road, Sheringham or Gunton.
