About

Baconsthorpe Meadows Campsite is located on a farm in North Norfolk -  just a 15 minute walk from Baconsthorpe Castle and 3 miles from Holt.

We have 63 pitches for tents (no carvans, camper vans or motorhomes) and 6 camping pods.

32 pitches have electric hook up and 31 are standard pitches. We have a seperate dog friendly field and two no dog fields.

The 6 camping pods each sleep two people and offer a comfortable and easy way to camp. No need to put up a tent – just bring your bedding and a towel and you can enjoy the countryside in comfort. Within the camping pod there is bed & mattress, small fridge, kettle, toaster, washingup bowl with crockery & cutlery two chairs, heater, charging point, picnic table and raised fire pit.

Campfires are allowed in a raised fire pit which are avaialble to borrow.

We benefit from minimal light pollution so have amazing views of the sky & stars.

There are WC’s, showers, washing up sinks, playground, reception with small shop offering essential supplies and tourist information, washing machine, tumble dryer, hair dryer and freezer for ice packs.

Please note we are a traditional campsite
and have a “No Noise after 10pm” policy.

There is a maximum of four pitches in a group.

Arrivals between 1pm – 7pm.

Pitches must be vacated by 1pm.

Turn off the A148 onto the Hempstead Road
(look out for the brown signs directing to Baconsthorpe Meadows and Baconsthorpe Castle).

Follow the road for 3 miles and Baconsthorpe Meadows is clearly signed on the right hand side of the road.
