About

Join us from 13:00 – 16:00 for a blissful afternoon of sunshine, music, and relaxed sophistication at Wolterton's beautiful south lawns. Pack a picnic, gather your friends, and settle in for "Jazz on a Summer's Day", featuring the sensational DixieMix Jazz Band.

Led by Simon Nelson on trumpet and flugelhorn, DixieMix has rapidly established itself as one of the UK's most engaging and dynamic traditional jazz ensembles. Bringing together some of the finest jazz musicians in the South East, the band combines exceptional musical talent with warmth, humour, and irresistible energy.
Expect an afternoon filled with fresh arrangements of jazz favourites—old and new—all delivered with the signature DixieMix twist. Their infectious enthusiasm has seen them tour with Rod Stewart, perform on TV, and light up festivals and theatres across the country.
Whether you choose to sit back and soak up the sound or dance barefoot on the grass, this promises to be an unforgettable summer celebration of live music, great company, and timeless style.
