About

Just a quick 15-minute drive from the beautiful North Norfolk coastline, The Salted Kiln is the perfect place to get creative and have some fun. Whether you’re visiting for a relaxing getaway or you call this wonderful area home, we’d love for you to join us for a hands-on pottery experience in a warm, welcoming space.

Try your hand at the pottery wheel at our welcoming studio near Holt. Start your fun pottery adventure with family and friends. No experience needed. Clay, chats and chilled coastal vibes in the heart of North Norfolk.

Join us for a 1½ hour pottery class where you’ll learn the basics of wheel throwing clay. Whether you’re a complete beginner or just want to refresh your skills, this session is a fun and relaxed introduction to pottery.

We also offer two pottery evening classes that run for 7 weeks throughout the year. One is a traditional pottery course learning a wide variety of clay and decoration techniques and the other is a unique course that teaches you the art of combining clay and glass together with stunning results.

New classes and courses are added on a regular basis so please check the website.

Never worked with clay before? No worries—we’ll walk you through everything! If you’ve got some experience, we’ve got plenty of opportunities to help you fine-tune your skills.

Whether you’re making your very first bowl or perfecting your techniques, our friendly instructors are here to make sure you have a great time and feel confident along the way. Our workshops are perfect for everyone aged 8 and up! Whether you’re creating something special with your kids, catching up with friends, or enjoying a bit of solo creative time, our studio offers the perfect relaxed, friendly environment to laugh, chat, and make memories together.

At The Salted Kiln, pottery isn’t just about making—it’s about enjoying the process, relaxing, and having fun. Set in the heart of North Norfolk’s stunning countryside, our studio is the perfect place to let your imagination run wild. We can’t wait to meet you and see what you create! We also have a small shop selling the owner Sally Mills’s beautiful ceramic and glass artworks.
