Christmas 2025 at Holkham

If you’re looking for things to do in Norfolk this Christmas, look no further. Holkham's festive events calendar is bursting with wonderful winter delights, from shopping to wreath making, canine carolling to even meeting the big man himself - there is a whole bunch of festive fun to enjoy throughout November and December 2025. 

Candlelight Tours of Holkham Hall 

From 28th November - 30th December Holkham Hall will be decked out in all its festive finery. You may have seen Holkham on Channel 4’s ‘Christmas at Holkham’ in previous years, but why not go and be wowed yourself?

Holkham doesn't just deck the halls with boughs of holly, but all manner of quirky and joyful festive splendour. Step into a sugar coated scene from Hansel and Gretel, take a peek at chaos left at the breakfast table by mischievous elves and take in the beautifully decorated classic Christmas tree in the Saloon. 

Bringing little ones? Join Holkham for its Family Day - new for 2025! Make sure to bring your letters for Father Christmas and enjoy a relaxed self-led tour of the state rooms but keep your eyes peeled, you might spot some very special guests…

Holkham Hall by Candlelight can be enjoyed as part of a guided tour on 4th, 11th and 15th December, or on a self-led tour  The magic continues all the way to 30th December! Make the most of those in-between days and visit during Twixmas at a reduced entry fee!

Holkham Christmas Market

On 12th, 13th and 14th of December, join over 60 of Norfolk's finest producers for the Holkham Christmas Market. Due to last year’s success, Holkham is thrilled to have the market running for three days again this year, so there's plenty of opportunity to enjoy the festivities! Enjoy a spot of Christmas shopping or pick up a few treats for yourself! 

There'll be tasty street food and live festive magic to help get you into the Christmas spirit! The Christmas Market is a free event, although please note a £10 special event parking charge applies.

Audience with Father Christmas

Ho ho ho’s are echoing along the corridors of Holkham Hall – Bring your little ones to meet the real Father Christmas and Mother Christmas for a festive experience they’ll never forget. Tickets sell out fast, so you might want to get this booked in early! 

Carolling at Holkham 

Get those vocal chords warmed up as Holkham has three super sing-along events at Holkham this year. On 11th December, bring your friends and family and join Holkham for some cheerful Christmas tunes in the courtyard – all in support of Break Charity. If you’re looking for something more traditional, there is a classic carol service in the beautiful church of St.Withburga in Holkham Park on 21st December. And finally, on 22nd December, there is the annual, barking mad, festive four-legged friend celebration - canine carolling! Fancy dress for your furry friends is strongly encouraged. No need to book any of the carol singing events, just go along! 

Wonderful winter workshops

Get creative this Christmas time with one of Holkham's workshops, led by local artists. There’s plenty to choose from including wreath making, calligraphy, candle making and more - but be quick, tickets are selling fast!
