The White Horse, Brancaster Staithe

About

15 en-suite stylish room comprising - 8 Garden rooms built into the natural sloping contours, grass roof to blend in with the colourful marsh beyond with their own seating terrace. Plus 7 rooms inside including the ‘Room at the Top’ built into the gable end of the building with patio door to viewing deck and telescope overlooking the tidal marsh. The rooms comprise 12 comfy double-bedded rooms and 3 twins, 5 of which convert into family rooms.

Most rooms look out across Brancaster Bay tidal marsh and the north Norfolk coastal path runs along the bottom of the garden.

Rooms newly restyled and refurbished, modern bright coastal themed with a free spirit feel and mixture of layered patterns and colours for texture and cosiness. Woven materials and House Doctor wicker chairs add to the calm coastal theme

Garden rooms have wooden floors, hence dog friendly, with central Seagrass rug, rope mirrors, rattan wall hanging plates, jute lampshades and beautiful handmade drapes.
Artisan mango wood furniture add to a relaxing vibe. Local artist prints with nature in mind adorn the walls.

There is a spacious conservatory restaurant leading to a sundeck dining terrace which faces east to west where you can see the sun rise or the magnificence of the sun setting across the tidal marsh to Scolt Head. There is also a landscaped sunken front courtyard with sheltered canopy. Inside the furnishings are of contemporary rustic style - scrubbed pine furniture, open log fire in winter, character photographs of days gone by adorn the walls, comfortable lounge area and charming 'locals' bar. A charming modern style of Inn, which keeps abreast of the times, oodles of character, serving real ale, and a good selection of wines by the glass, bar skittles in bar. Choose to eat in the 2 Rosette restaurant or make your choice from the bar menu.

A quality menu showcases the freshest local produce. Regular changing menu incorporates fish bought in from the local fisherman's catch of the day or Brancaster oysters or mussels, when in season, from the beds at the bottom of the garden

MARSHSIDE dining offers see through marquee, tables outside, deck chairs on the bank bar and separate menu including breakfast. There is no need to book.
