About

A must visit for cheese enthusiasts, Star Plain Stores in Holt sources the finest small batch cheese, as well as wine, coffee and chocolate. The shelves and counter are filled with high quality provisions with a focus on specialist producers, organic, vegan and handmade. Owner Tom has a passion for cheese, and this is clear in the impressive selection of seasonal British and European cheese on offer, from semi-hard beer-washed cheese made in Norfolk, to a hard-to-find torta-style raw sheep’s milk from Valladolid. You’ll also find a cornucopia of mouth-watering accompaniments from crackers and chutneys to tinned fish and charcuterie. Enjoy a coffee or glass of wine in the snug or on the deck out front, an afternoon suntrap.
