About

Nestled in the Wensum Valley, Ringland is approximately 7 miles from Norwich – just off the A1067. This picturesque village is popular with walkers with Ringland Hills offering great views of the landscape. Ringland Hills is a  County Wildlife Site and forms part of a narrow ridge of low hills to the south of the River Wensum Valley. The flat-topped ridge drops steeply away to the north, indented with narrow gullies. Historically open and probably grazed, these hills are now almost entirely semi-natural, predominantly oak-birch woodland.

St Peter's Church in Ringland has a 13th century tower and a 14th-15th century nave and chancel. The church is one of the most artistically and historically significant churches in Norfolk, exhibiting the finest qualities of late-medieval grandeur with its nave roof. Set into the clerestory is one of central Norfolk's best collections of late Medieval stained glass.
