Well Cottage

About

Well Cottage offers a peaceful and private location in which to enjoy a wonderful holiday at any time of the year; a traditional 17th century Norfolk flint cottage situated in a quiet hideaway down a hollyhock-lined path off the village green at Cley-next-the-Sea. This spacious retreat, which has been sympathetically renovated to reflect its history, has a large inglenook fireplace and a private walled garden overlooked by the beautiful 13th century church of St. Margaret’s, Cley. Many of the original features have been retained, such as the oak spice cupboard, ancient beams, doors and fittings. New Norfolk pamments have been laid, and the tasteful furniture and décor have been chosen to reflect and enhance the age and history of the cottage, as well as the introduction of design classics from the 50’s. Its individual feel and charm make this a special haven from which to explore the local area of outstanding natural beauty. Shop/Pub: within walking distance.
