Pensthorpe Natural Park, A Real Tea Party Trail. 


Pop along to Pensthorpe for its brand-new adventure, A Real Tea Party Trail. Take your little princes and princesses on a regal stroll around the park to find nature’s royalty, from kingfishers to a red crowned crane, and compile the perfect guestlist for a tea party. Bure Valley Railway, Jubilee Journey.


All aboard for the Bure Valley Railway Jubilee journey! Come and meet King Henry 8th, his wife and servant (28 May only) and hear his tales. The station will be decorated in style, there will be royal activities for children to complete on the journey inlcuding Royal I Spy down the line, Union Jack flags to wave, and a selection of platinum packages available to purchase in the café at Aylsham Station including a Jubilee Afternoon tea package (£12.50pp). Holkham Hall, a Jubilant Half Term.


Head to Holkham Hall for a range of activities for its Jubilant Half Term. Crafting in the Ed Shed, a Jump, Jive, Twist and Shout trail, and on selected dates you can try the climbing wall and penalty shoot-out, caving experience or obstacle course! 


Hoveton Hall, near Wroxham, a Jubilee Country Fair.

On 2 and 3 June, Hoveton Hall's Jubilee Country Fair will have a host of 'royal' themed activities suitable for all the family, including craft stalls, falconry, archery, Punch & Judy, soldier re-enactment displays, circus workshops, clay pigeon shooting, vintage games, a fun dog show, a teddy bear's crown treasure hunt and Jubilee craft making activities. There will also be a range of delicious food stalls or feel free to take along a picnic. Visitors will also be treated to the spectacular displays of rhododendrons and azaleas which are in full bloom in June, providing the perfect backdrop to this celebration of all things country and royal. The fun starts at 10.30am each day and runs until 5.30pm. Early bird tickets are on sale, visit the website for more details.


The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Afternoon Tea Extravaganza at Byfords in Holt.

On Sunday 5 June, Byfords will be celebrating the Queen's Jubilee in true higgledy-piggledy style. Over the weekend, enjoy themed Afternoon Tea, The Queen's favourite cakes and pastries, delicious cocktails and The Jubilee Afternoon Tea Extravaganza! 
To honour Queen Elizabeth II, you'll be served Her Majesty the Queen's much-loved sweet treats, decadent sandwiches, fluffy scones and much more. Enjoy British themed sandwiches delivered straight to your table, then head up to the magnificent spread of scrumptious sweet treats where you can fill your plates with as much as you want. Norfolk Jubilee Beacons and Town Criers.


On the 2 June, town criers in Sheringham (proclamation at 2pm on 2 June at the town clock and a procession from 7.30pm from Otterndorf Green to the Leas, where there will be a picnic and the town beacon will be lit at 9.45pm), Holt (proclamation at 2pm on 2 June) and Cromer (proclamation at 2pm followed by a street party in Church Street and High Street, spitfire fly past and display on the sea front from 5pm and lighting of the beacon event from 9.35pm). 

Over 50 beacons will be lit across the county of Norfolk, with the Principle Beacon at Sandringham and others located at Holkham Hall, Houghton Hall and more. It’s sure to be a brilliant start to the celebrations!


Jubilee Celebrations on the Sandringham Estate.


To mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, celebrations will take place throughout 2022 on the Sandringham Estate, the Country Retreat of Her Majesty The Queen in Norfolk.  

Her Majesty The Queen at Sandringham: An Exemplary Reign and a Unique Country House, is this year’s special exhibition at Sandringham (until 13 October) and will showcase The Queen and the Royal Family’s affection for the much-loved country retreat. Highlights of the exhibition include objects and photographs relating to The Queen’s love of animals, horses and the great outdoors, as well as a special audio-visual display focusing on the very first Christmas Day speech broadcast from 1957, recorded by The Queen at Sandringham House. The Estate will also host several events over the extended June Bank Holiday Weekend beginning on the 2 June (from 7pm) with the traditional lighting of the Jubilee Beacon in the Royal Parkland, with live music. Free event; admission tickets must be obtained online via the Sandringham website.

Katherine Jenkins OBE will be joined by The Military Wives to perform a live outdoor music concert on Friday 3 June (7.30pm) with a special fly over and fireworks. Tickets must be purchased online via Live Promotions.

Platinum Party at the Palace on the big screen, on Saturday 4 June, all day event from 10am. A live screening (from 8pm) of the Platinum Party at the Palace, some of the world’s biggest entertainment stars honour the most significant and joyous moments from The Queen’s seven-decade reign. Free event, admission tickets must be obtained online via the Sandringham website.

Pageant of Motoring, Sunday 5 June, 10am – 5pm. A decade of motoring, live music and aerial displays alongside antique markets and a vintage fair. Performing directly from the West End, Frankie’s Guys will stage songs by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, dynamic female trio ‘Music Through The Decades’ and popular rock sensations The Houndogs, will all provide retro live music throughout the day. Tickets must be purchased online via Live Promotions.
