The picturesque village of Trunch is surrounded by Norfolk's protected area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with footpathes and quiet lines for walking and bird watching. There are old Norfolk flintstone houses within a designated conservation area and the medieval Church of St Botolph is at the centre of the village. 

There is a population with a population of around1,000 and the village is close to the coastal resort of Mundesley and the nearest town is North Walsham. The village shop has a post office and there is a pub and social club hosting events such as the Trunch Open Gardens and Scarecrow Festival and Trunchfest Music Festival.
