Blackbird Barn is hidden away in a tranquil position, in the adored seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea. This beautifully converted barn can be found behind the owner’s property, set back off the charming High Street, and offers roomy accommodation for 2-4 guests in luxurious style. You couldn’t be in a more ideal location to enjoy a fabulous holiday in this popular seaside town with its extensive sandy beach and pine forest.

This stylish barn has everything you need. With relaxing furnishings and a cosy wood burner for the colder seasons, the cottage is the perfect place to unwind after a long walk on the beach. The kitchen and utility room are very well equipped, and the large, open-plan living space is ideal for sharing time with family and friends. On the first floor is a relaxing area to read a book or write your journal in the peace and quiet. A beautiful king-sized bedroom with a Juliet balcony, and spacious twin bedroom, provide the sleeping accommodation, and the bathroom room has a very large walk-in shower.

The centre of the town, with its lovely shops, galleries, cinema, and cultural centre, is within a few minutes’ walk from the doorstep. Blackbird Barn is the perfect base to enjoy a holiday at any time of year, with wonderful walks, stunning beaches, and excellent dining all close by. With the Coasthopper bus stop not far from the front door, you can adventure along the coast without using the car too.

Ground Floor

Entrance with hooks for coats, space for boots & wellies

Living/Kitchen/Dining Room leading in straight from the front door, this is an open-spaced room with stone flooring. Relaxing leather sofas and chair, Smart TV with BritBox, ITV Hub, Rakuten, (also Netflix and Amazon Prime with guests own accounts), coffee table, wood burner, and log basket. Stairs leading to the first floor.

Dining area has a dining table and chairs, sideboard.

Kitchen area has centre island with sink and stools, an electric double oven cooker with ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave, full sized fridge freezer, and Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine (pods not supplied). Well stocked with kitchen equipment.

Utility Room leading off from the kitchen with WC, basin with storage cupboard under, washer dryer, shelving.

First floor

Bedroom 1 has a King-sized bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, drawers and Juliet balcony.

Bedroom 2 is a twin-bedded room. Bedside tables, wardrobe and drawers. 

Shower room with large walk-in shower, WC, and basin. Heated towel rail.

Reading area with comfy armchair, bookshelves, drawers, desk and chair.

Outside space

Garden

In front of the barn is an L-shaped patio fully enclosed by walls and fencing. Garden furniture with padded seat cushions in two areas of the courtyard. Charcoal BBQ. Extendable washing line. Shed with bike racks.

Parking

There is no parking at the barn. Free parking can be found at the bottom of the High Street and on the Buttlands, or paid parking in the town. Speak to Justine for more details.

Heating

Effective electric heating and wood burner.

Wells Beach Hut also available to book during your stay.

IMPORTANT: This lovely dog-friendly barn shares access with the owner’s property and their two Golden Retrievers. It may be that their very friendly dogs will want to say hello as you walk through, so please consider carefully about any dogs you bring with you who may be in season, or who may be scared of other dogs.
