The White Horse, Brancaster Staithe

About

The White Horse Inn is situated in a typical north Norfolk village, Brancaster Staithe, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, and boasts the best of local produce with fish sourced from the village fishermen. A choice of restaurant menu or bar menu for any time of the day dining.

The elevated deck terrace adjoining the conservatory restaurant faces east to west so you can view the sunrise or one of the huge sunsets from this position. The perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a 'sundowner' in the evening. And for walkers, the Norfolk Coastal path adjoins the bottom of the garden. The panoramic tidal marshland's captivating views stretch across to Scolt Head Island and beyond to the sea. Lots of bird life and boating activity here. It is also from here that you can see our neighbours, fishermen Cyril & Ben, offload their catch of the day or bag up their mussels.

There's a delicious menu selection whether you choose to dine in our award winning conservatory restaurant, terrace, bar areas and our brand new marshside bar seafood bar. Wherever you choose to eat you will enjoy a relaxed casual dining experience. All dishes are prepared to order using the freshest ingredients, sourced from our wonderful local producers.

The menus change regularly and are created from the best seasonal pickings on offer and daily specials too, not forgetting an extensive bar menu with weekly specials.

We love to see dogs in the bar but not in the restaurant.

If you fancy staying, there are 15 stylish comfy, roomy en suite bedrooms with seascape décor. Eight rooms are in the annexe having their own outside seating area. Well-behaved dogs are allowed in these rooms. The split-level 'Room at the Top' with glazed gable end doors to viewing balcony has a telescope to take in the breathtaking views across the tidal marsh.

The White Horse is a coastal treasure in a spectacular location, sublime seafood, seasonal menu and is the perfect place for a pint in a locals bar. The perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle.
